Dough Thompson
Doug Thompson is a Vice President of Sales at WFG National Title, the 6th largest underwriter in the nation, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2020. Doug, as leader of his team of title professionals, has 36 years of real estate related industry experience.
In 1985, Doug started his career as a residential realtor with Century 21 Southern California area and enjoyed a successful four year career in real estate sales. He then moved to the escrow/closing sector with a successful term at Burrow Escrow and 1031 Exchange Services where Doug was named ‘Affiliate of the Year’ for the West Orange County Association of Realtors while representing Burrow Escrow. This experience provided Doug with
lessons on just about every aspect of real estate, financing, creative transaction structuring and 1031 Exchanges. In 1993, Doug transitioned into the title industry. Doug used this new opportunity to learn the business from the basics in “searching” all the way to “closings”. It was here that Doug proved to be a true innovator when he created|
pre-sale preliminary title and summary grading reports for Fannie Mae short-sale transactions which permanently changed the way the Title Industry works today with short sales.
Doug continued his exceptional growth and innovation for 25 years, soon becoming Vice President of Sales with a large title insurance company. Doug changed along with the industry as the times changed and continued to be a multi-faceted superstar working in residential lending, commercial and default title services. Doug remains consistenly ranked in the top 5% nationally in all sales within the national Title Industry.
He is also a member of The Women’s Council of Realtors, The Escrow Institute of California and a member of REOMAC since 2002, where he currently sits on the Board.

Doug Thompson brings over three decades of real estate, escrow, and title insurance expertise. Beginning his career as a residential real estate agent, he spent five years in sales before transitioning to Burrow Escrow Company as a sales representative, where he gained specialized experience in 1031 exchange accommodations, residential/commercial transactions, developer business, and creative financing.
In 1993, Doug entered the title sector with California Counties Title, where he innovated the presale preliminary and grading report for Fannie Mae short sales. He subsequently completed a 24-year tenure at Lawyer's Title, consistently earning a spot in the top 5% nationally for sales across all Fidelity brands.
Since joining WFG National Title in 2020, Doug has focused on delivering custom, technology-driven solutions for realtors, escrow officers, lenders, commercial brokers, investors, and default services clients. He served on the board of the National Association of Default Professionals in 2021 and was recognized as Member of the Year in 2022.
Lisa Adams is a core member of The Doug Thompson Team with 24 years of broad industry experience across real estate, default services, and transaction coordination. Having spent 14 years working alongside Doug Thompson, Lisa possesses deep expertise in marketing, customer service, and daily account operations.
Her career includes specialized work in the default sector with REDC Default Solutions and IMAX Premier Real Estate. At WFG National Title, Lisa manages critical operational workflows for lenders, escrow officers, and realtors, ensuring complex transaction issues are efficiently resolved for smooth closings.
Zaman Taher specializes in client engagement, account management, and digital solution implementation. Backed by an 18-year foundation in the hospitality industry—including 11 years in management roles—Zaman excels in high-level customer service, communication, and proactive problem-solving.
In his role on the team, Zaman leads client onboarding and training for WFG’s digital tools, proprietary web platforms, and mobile apps. He works directly with the real estate community to ensure seamless, personalized support and efficient adoption of WFG's technology assets.
